Noel Night

This year's "Noel Night" will run for the month of December. With concerns over health and safety from large crowds, Local First acknowledges that continuing Noel Night as usual this year is not a responsible choice. So, we as an organization have decided to adapt! To encourage safe, social distancing, we are letting people shop when they want!

This year, your favorite local businesses will have coupons, or “vouchers” inside the annual Noel Night newspaper insert created by The Durango Herald. These vouchers can be used at your convenience so you can do your holiday shopping easily and safely! We are also going virtual for 2020 Noel Night and making shopping go virtual! There will be two options for shopping virtual this year including an online market place and virtual shoppers. We encourage you to shop local and shop safe this holiday season.

17th Annual Festival of Trees & Wreaths

The show must go on! The 17th Annual Festival of Trees & Wreaths kicks off at Noon, Friday, December 4th and runs through Sunday, December 6th at 5pm. Festival of Trees is a holiday tradition benefiting kids and adults with disabilities. As in years’ past, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR) is sparkling with over 40 locally sponsored trees and wreaths adorned with creative gifts and festive decorations. However, due to concern for the health and safety of our community and the continued spread of COVID-19, this year’s event is being held exclusively online at CCIFOT.givesmart.com and goes live at Noon on Friday, December 4th.

The upside? Increased accessibility for people with disabilities is central to Community Connections’ mission and efforts to improve inclusion and create communities where all its members feel like they belong. Anyone can participate from the comfort of their own home on demand any time between Noon on December 4th and 5pm on December 6th at CCIFOT.givesmart.com.

Those riding the Polar Express will get a sneak peak at the dazzling display of trees and wreaths and should for sure to tune in for the full event experience should tune in to the virtual event.

What to expect at this year’s Virtual Festival of Trees & Wreaths viewed at CCIFOT.givesmart.com?

All proceeds benefit Community Connections. Register today at CCIFOT.givesmart.com for updates. For more information or questions about Community Connections, visit communityconnectionsco.org.
