BID will provide information and details about the larger annual events in Downtown as one way to inform businesses of the impacts to Downtown. This will include information on road closures, parking into and other details. Events include: Snowdown Parade in late January/early February, Taste of Durango in mid-May, Iron Horse Bicycle Classic over Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July, and Autumn Arts Festival in mid-September. The event promotors will present this information at two BID Coffee and Conversation meetings prior to the event. Businesses are encouraged to attend these meeting to ask questions. The BID monthly meetings are the second Friday of each month at 8:30 to 9:30 am in the community room at TBK Bank.

Taste of Durango, Sunday May 19, 11 am to 4 pm
Downtown streets will be closed starting at 5 am, and are expected to re-open between 6:30 and 7:30 pm.
Main Avenue from College to 11th will be closed. All cross streets will also be closed, to Narrow Gauge on the west and to the alley between Main and E. 2nd to the east. This includes 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Streets. See this MAP for the overall closures.
Also included here are detailed views that show the specific arrangments at all intersections. The YELLOW line indicates the sawhorse barries, the DASHED RED lines indicate metal, linked barriers.
Taste of Durango starts at 11 am, alcohol booths close at 3 pm, and food booths close at 4 pm. 8,000 to 10,000 are expected to attend. There will be 40 to 50 food vendors, and a total of 7 vendors will be allowed to serve alcohol. There will be four entertainment stages, and a kids zone.
