Children's Halloween
October 31, 2020
Come to Downtown Durango this Halloween and join the fun! Children's Halloween is Thursday, October 31, from 4 to 6 pm, in Downtown Durango. 
Downtown Balloon Glow
October 16, 2020
The Balloons will light up the sky in the 500 block of Main Avenue where spectators can get up close and see the balloons in action. The glow will include candle sticks with are baskets with out the balloons as well as fully inflated balloons. This is a family friendly free event.
Durango Autumn Arts Festival
September 19-20, 2020
Celebrating 26 years of presenting fine art and fine craft makers from around the country. The festival takes place down beautiful second avenue in historic Downtown Durango.
Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering
October 1-4, 2020
Featuring the finest cowboy poets, storytellers and musicians who come from real working ranch background. The event includes a variety of events some are ticketed but there are many daytime sessions that are free.
Durango's Farmers Market
Second week in May to first week in October
The Durango Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning from the second week in May through the first weekend in October. The market offers a variety of vendors including local farms, artisans, service vendors and ready to eat food vendors. additionally there is a local musician or band each week with occasional dance performances.

Singing with Santa

January 29- February 2, 2020
Colorado’s Premier winter carnival, offering over 160 events over five days. The festival is held each year at the end of January in Durango.
The Polar Express Train Ride
Based on the award-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg and adapted to the big screen, the story of a child's Christmas Eve journey comes alive on-board The Polar Express Train Ride. This is an event that all ages can enjoy during the Christmas season.

Durango Celtic Festival
March 12-14, 2020
Three day of traditional and modern Celtic music, covering the sounds of Ireland, Scotland, the Hebrides and Cape Breton, along with original blends.
Durango Independent Film Festival
March 4-8,2020
Showing over 100 films from around the globe. Filmmakers as far as Australia and Great Britain will be in attendance. Screening will take place at a multiple locations. There are a variety of genre of films including special programs for family, adventure, native cinema and LGBT.
Iron Horse Bicycle Classic
May 22-24, 2020
The Iron Horse is a  three day bicycle event for all ages, competitive and non competitive, multiple disciplines (road, gravel, mountain and cruiser bikes) and festival offerings for adults, kids, vendors, live music, bike trials, beer and food.
Taste of Durango

Join the City of Durango in celebrating Independence Day in Downtown Durango. Events will be held all day and conclude with the Largest Fireworks display in La Plata County!
Animas River Days
May 29-30, 2020
A celebration of our beautiful river that flows through Durango. This event includes a full day of whitewater events like freestyle kayaking, rive surfing, boater cross, raft and kayak slalom.
Community Concerts in the Secret Garden
Wednesday Nights from June 17-August 19 from 5-7 pm
Summer Concert Series at the Rochester Hotel Secret Garden that benefits local non-profits in the community. Featuring talented local music groups each Wednesday evening throughout the summer.
Concert Hall @ The Park

The Community Concert Hall presents Free Concerts each Thursday in Buckley Park. Each week the will feature a different genre of music from professional artists. Bring your camp chairs, blankets and picnic for this fun family friendly event.
